As some of you know, towns or names of places in Phantasy Star reference Earth places of similar names.

For instance, there is a town in Western New York called Albion. Probably elsewhere too, but I havent researched it. And Albion is a town's in PS1.

So have you traveled or heard of any other places of coincidence?
Another instance is that I have visited both Palma and Parma, in Spain and Italy, respectively.

I'm trying to think of where else that comes to mind.

Oh, right. I've been to Tyler, Texas as well. But there was no snow or spaceships that I am aware of.

Ha, that's an awesome point, I never would have thought of that. Hmm...I can't think of any Algo-related place-names I've visited, but I'll think on it.

I can't think of anything, at least not off the top of my head. But I'll think on it a bit, because I'm quite sure I can think of something.

Also, I've moved this topic to the Phantasy Star forums, it seems a bit more fitting there. Nothing for anyone to worry about, though. :)

I think the town name in PSI is Abion, not Albion, but it could be that the "l" was dropped during translation.

I live near Paseo Padre Pkwy and I've been to La Palma, CA.

There's an Epping Forest in England, noted hideout of highwayman Dick Turpin. I've often wondered if Eppi is from Epping.

Hmm, you're right. I will have to contact the mayor of that town and let them know they spelled it incorrectly.

Not that I have ever been there, but there is a famous museum-filled street called Caminito in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In case you don't know, カミニート is how "Caminito" would be written/pronounced in Japanese. such pronunciation could also be taken into English spelling and written as "Camineet".

My new commute takes me by two consecutive streets: Nido and Meseto. I smile every time I see the street signs.

Interesting topic ! Even if, in my mind, there is actually no examples to help with it but I'll try to find some ! (especially tied to french names if I can ! :) )

Not really sure if this counts or not but not too long ago I was looking at various news events searching for possible stories to post on and I happened to see a story about something called the "Medusa Nebula", I think it was. I know Medusa is a person in Phantasy Star and not a place, but the Nebula is a place in space. Made me think of Phantasy Star when I read it. Just thought that was kind of interesting.
