It looks like there won't be any new versions for a while now. I've been thinking on PSII and PSIII, but I can't think of much revision there gameplay wise. Most people think PSII is already hell, (I don't. I think any RPG you can beat with one character isn't THAT difficult.), but PSIII is pretty darned easy for the most part. Of course I could mess with the Techs people have in II, but that system is pretty sound already. I can't really think of any need for equipment replacement in either of the games though. Any suggestions are welcome from you PS veterans!
In short, I haven't come up with enough to embark on a new project. I have been contacted by a fellow eager to build a full PSIV editor to edit everything in the game. I'm dumping everything I know to him now in lieu of further work on the patches for now, and spreading the word on the patches across the hacking world.
I also contacted Missagh at pscave.com to see if his site was still alive, and he answered, indicating he's going to start updating the site again. In fact, he did today!
"The Phantasy Star Cave Message Board is coming back online soon with a change of board script. And no, PS Cave is not dead, there are new updates and new game sections coming, so please check back later! Do not forget to join the mailing list!"
It'll be nice to have another live PS site! Though I'm camped at PS Algo.
