Have you every made any money playing video games, or stuff like this? I almost flipped when I read this story about how much money this person has made playing Bejeweled, etc.:

No... certainly not anything on that level, at least. I doubt I would do very well in a competition like that. I prefer to take my time in my gaming, especially casual games like that. Still, there's some good cash in it if you have the skill.

The only way of making money in gaming that I know of is from fighting game tournaments like Evolution, Super Battle Opera, and Ranbat. They have random "money matches" on the side too. There is also stuff like Quakecon, but I have never partaken in any of the aforementioned. I don't have the skills or time it takes to get that good.

Not that I can remember, and I probably never will. The only game I play with that potential is Smash brothers. Now, everyone tells me I could probably do very well at a tournament given how good I am with Ness, but I really don't want to, at least not on a large scale. The smash brothers tournament community kind of bothers me. I might participate in a small-scale tournament on campus though later this semester.

Well this kind of goes along with the topic.

Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang from Korea just signed a contract for three years for approximately $473,037 to be a proffessional Warcraft III player.
