Empire State Building

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Sep 29, '09, 6:46 pm

I think it's kind of cool that the Empire State Building can change to different colors to celebrate some special occassion or honor someone or some other such event, etc., however, I simply don't know what to think about this supposed change of colors to celebrate China's 60th anniversary coming up on Wednesday:

This seems to be kicking up a lot of outrage around the web. It is an odd thing to celebrate. I have to wonder if the Chinese government paid for this lighting or if the owner(s) of the building decided to do it first.

I dunno, Thoul, but that's a good question. I wonder just who is paying for it. I would assume that the final decision of doing this one way or the other falls up to the
owners of the building, though.

Well, today is Wednesday, so I guess today's the day this is supposed to happen, or rather maybe tonight. :blank:
