Elvis Week

Elvis week has been taking place in Memphis, TN., this week. Elvis week is a yearly celebration and rememberance of entertainer Elvis Presley who died on August 16, 1977. Happy Elvis Week !!

Well, I watched the Elvis candlelight service last night online. It was awesome to see how many fans still love and remember Elvis by showing up at the ceremony. The video was a little difficult to watch as it kept cutting out for some reason. None of Elvis's family showed up this year for the ceremony which was a little disappointing, I thought. Still, the fans will always be there and that is what is most important I suppose.

Elvis died exactly 42 years ago today (August 16th, 1977) and he was only 42 years young when he died. Sad to lose him so young. His music will live on forever though.
