The box of Phantasy Star Gaiden is displayed here. This would be the first exposure to the game for many people browsing stores in Japan back at the time of release. The Phantasy Star name, famous to Sega fans, is presented in both the traditional stylized English logo and the Japanese writing that might be easier for the target market to read. Icons revealed that the game featured a save feature, unlike the previous Game Gear title, Phantasy Star Adventure.
