Earthquake kits

Here's the latest unusual item for cats and dogs: a kit supposedly designed to help them survive in an earthquake. It includes a rain coat and hat, scented oils to calm a pet, and stuff like that.

What do you think, would this really be helpful to a pet in such a situation? Maybe it would just make things worse. If there's an earthquake going on, who's going to have time to put this thing on their cat?
