It's not bad, even though it is pretty simple. The simplicity might make it easier to apply to various kinds of merchandising. It looks empty without a number or something else inside.

I like it. Sort of makes me think of Mario earning his laurels, if you will.
Next Pokemon game(s): Pearl
Last finished Pokémon game: Shield
Other games: Skyrim Special Edition (Switch), Spyro Reignited Trilogy (Switch & PS4), Okami (Switch & PS4)
Other gaming goals: completing a Living Pokedex (minus some event Pokes) and going through at least 1 game per generation

Also, some interesting facts about Mario that you may not have known before:

Interesting items, especially the one about what his original name was. I'm glad they changed it to Super Mario.

I knew most of those, but the design elements are a new one on me. It makes sense, given NES limitations in the day. Man, graphics were way different back then.

They did get a few things wrong from what I understand. Mostly just with the game Donkey Kong. It is true that he was Jumpman, but he wasn't a plumber, he was a carpenter. And it wasn't Princess Peach he was rescuing, but his girlfriend, Paula. And as far as I know, she wasn't a princess.

Then later he became a plumber who is consantly saving Princess Toadstool (AKA Peach). =D

I'm glad they went with Princess Peach instead of Princess Paula, although someone must have had a fixation with the letter " P " or something, lol.

Nintendo has come up with another promotion, a special red Wii system. It's going to have an altered version of Super Mario Bros. included. The game level design is apparently the same, but some of the graphics are altered:
