Taco Bell has said they will stop selling the Kids Meals:

I wonder if this is the beginning of the end of kids Meal's everywhere??? "Happy Meals", and the toys that go in them, just aren't like they used to be anyway, if you ask me. Still, there are a lot of kids that wind up eating fast food and they have to eat something somewhere!!

Well, I'm sure some of the parental groups that were pushing for the elimination of fast food marketing aimed at children are thrilled over this. They'll probably try to keep up pressure to get all kids' meals stopped. It might happen eventually, but I think it will take a long, long time.

I think you are probably right as rain on that one Rylen. I think most kids really enjoy having the toys along with their meals and will miss it if it's not there and will encourage their parents, etc., to find some other alternatives.

The over all problem for me is that I'm not always sure the "toy" is worth it. It's pretty much bribing the kid to eat. I'm not even a fan of these play areas that Burger King and McD's have been using the past few years. The place over at our local BK is not healthy or safe because it looks like it hasn't been cleaned or updated in a few years.
