I haven't read any of them; I do, however, have the Dragonlance Campaign Setting book for Third Edition D&D.
I, uh... I don't think that's going to be of any help here, though. XD
There are also three computer games that take place in the setting-- Champions of Krynn, Death Knights of Krynn, and The Dark Queen of Krynn-- based on Second Edition D&D. I haven't played those, but there are Let's Plays available on the LP Archive. (...I don't think those'll help give you an informed opinion either. =p)
