Pepsi pulling products due to Soda Tax

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Thu Mar 23, '17, 8:52 pm

Pepsi is pulling some of their products off the shelves in areas of Philadelphia due to the soda tax there:

That does seem like a high tax. Hope that soda tax does not make it to our area as it has in some other areas of the country.

Interesting that you have a soda tax there too. How much do you have to pay on say a 2 liter bottle of drink?

I have heard that several other areas of the USA, mainly New York, I think it is has the soda tax.

I think it is a bit silly myself. Government just seems to want to tax everything these days. Just glad it hasn't happened where I live.

I've just made some searching about this and tried to convert from euros to dollars : if I'm not mistake, on a 1,5 liters bottle (sorry I haven't find for 2 liters !!), it was growing from 1,50 to 1,62 dollars (approximately !).
Yes It's silly I agree ! :(
