Pets and our health

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Jul 31, '10, 8:21 pm

We all know that having pets improves our quality of life and makes us feel better, happier, etc., but now there are even more ways that show our pets are important to helping our various health issues, etc.:

Can anyone else identify with any of these?

Some of those I knew about. Pets being able to help soothe someone in an upset mood, for instance. That helps me sometimes. Animals being used for emergencies is a concept that's been around for a long time. I had no idea about cancer detection, though. That's a new one to me.

Well, I found a story with another case of a Pet helping their owner's health, I guess you could say in a round about way.

First, let me say this:

WARNING, this story may have some subject matter in it that some may find to be troubling, or gross, material so if you don't want to know any more, then don't read it.
