Kick Axe!

One of heavy metal's greatest unsung heroes. They formed in Canada in the late 70's, and released their debut album, Vices in 1984. What a great album! These guys knew how to rock! And George Christon's vocals are as metal as you can get. But they weren't always all B-boy and then some. They also did ballads, such as a great cover of The Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends, which is mostly based on the arrangement from Joe Coker's version (I wanted to spell his last name properly, but the auto-censoring for the forum caught it). They also contributed to two movie soundtracks. The first was a cover of Humble Pie's 30 Days In The Hole. Their second one had two songs, which were also covers:A cover of John Farnham's Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way, and a cover of King Kobra's Hunger, for Transformers:The Movie. Kick Axe's original line up released their last album Rock The World in 1987. A new re-formed line up released a new album in 2005. Haven't heard it though. Have no intention of it because of said reasons.
