Christmas Movies You Hate

I got this idea from the "Tootin Tunes" thread someone posted on Christmas Songs you hate. Since this is the "Screen Scene" thread, I thought it might be interesting to ask the same question but regarding Christmas movies instead.

So, are there any Christmas movies that you hate or don't like seeing each year?


One movie that automatically came to my mind is "The Christmas Story", I think is the name of it where the kid keeps wanting the BB Gun and his Dad doesn't want him to have it. I can't stand that movie and they show it every Christmas - all day - on one channel. Yuck!!!

Yeah, I can't stand that movie either. What's worse is that this year it will probably be one two channels all day long. TBS is the one that usually shows it, but they split into two stations this year.

Other than that, I generally don't like updates to older movies and specials. Like that Frosty the Snowman sequel they made a few years ago, but about 20 years after the first one. Those are almost never good.

Does "Hard Rock, Coco, and Joe" count as a movie? That thing creeps me out big time. Otherwise Jingle All the Way gets my vote. The pacing makes it really boring and the ending is too predicable and sappy.

I really liked Christmas Story... the first 1,045 times I saw it on PBS.

Thats like a family tradition right there in our house. Well my parents house. We always watch that movie every year.

Love Grumpy Cat, but Grumpy Cat's Christmas was not too good. Also still do not like The Christmas Story.
