New species discovered in Mekong

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Mon Dec 15, '08, 11:29 pm

So many new species of animals, etc., are being found everywhere these days. Here are some of the most recent ones. Check this out and don't forget to look at all the pics of some of these new species:

I especially like pic # 10 - the green pit viper snake and pic # 5 - the pink millipede that produces cyanide in it's glands.

Which ones do you find most interesting?

What unique animals

I like reptiles a lot so my favourite animals would be the green pit-viper and the Lygosoma boehmei Skink lizard.

Wow. Some of those look like something out of a video game, especially the woolly bat, huge spider, and that bright green snake.

Huh. That Millipede is a bizarre looking thing, but really cool in a creepy way.

But that spider? GAH! 30 centimeters? A foot across is WAY too big for a spider! I'm with Kaloes on that one.

If I saw one of those spiders, I would have definitely been getting far, far away from that place as soon as possible.
