Mags or Personal Machines?

For those of you that have played both PS Online and PS Universe, which game do you think has the better take on the player's assistant? Online used Mags that gave stat boosts and photon summons, while Universe has Personal Machines with a lot of different abilities. Are there any features of one you'd like to have seen in the other?

I never played online before, but I think that Personal Machines were kinda not fun. I'd like to have a mag, its more similar to the classic series.

mags were cool ^_^ at least mine was.. I had one that looked like i had giant wings on my back
