What was the last book you read? Did you enjoy it and would you recommend it to others?

The last I read was Straken, from the "High Druid of Shannara" series by Terry Brooks. I can't say I would recommend it; the build up is okay, but the ending is particularly boring and bland. It was a real disappointment, since nearly every book the author has published was a best seller.

Currently it would be A Swiftly Tilting Planet, it is a enjoyable children's book. I would recommend it.

On Audio I am tackling Dune, sadly my Ipod is giving me massive problems on this so this is on hiatus. =/

The last book I read was The Journals of Ayn Rand, which was fascinating to see how she figured out an entire philosophy by writing notes on what she observed around her. I'm currently reading Objectivism: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand as a favor for some interested acquaintances to see if it is a worthy, easily accessible introduction to philosophy; it is!

I've been reading prolifically lately. My book count is staggering in the last year. I read nearly all of Agatha Christie's collection, a third of which were excellent, the others were merely ok. I'll have to recall the others I've read.

I haven't read many books in a good while due to not being able to see the small print very well, however, now that I have gotten eyeglasses, I hope to catch up on my reading.

Right now I'm reading:

Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now, by Maya Angelou.

Rebel With A Cause, by Franklin Graham.

Tammy, Telling It My Way, by Tammy Faye Bakker Messner.

Cash - The Autobiography, by Johnny Cash / Patrick Carr.

The last book I read was "Of Mice and Men" by John Steinbeck.
He's such a genius.
I loved the book from the very beginning and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Not very long ago, I read "The Barbed Coil" by JV Jones. A neat little fantasy novel. :)
