Back when Phantasy Star Online was first coming out, Sega released some virtual trading cards featuring things from the game. Did you collect those?

I passed on them, myself. I just didn't see the point of getting excited about that.

No, don't think I ever saved any of those. I'll bet they are much sought after now and probably worth a good bit.

There were PSIV cards? :o I didn't know about that either. What do they look like?

Early issues of the Sega Visions magazine had some trading cards packed in. They were more of a general Sega games thing, but Odin, Amy, and a few other PSII people had cards.

I had a few of the PSO cards, but I lost them in a computer crash somewhere along the way. Pity they weren't all archived somewhere.

I never heard about cards for the other games. Are there any pictures of those anywhere?

Remember reading about these virtual cards once before back when I actually bought PSO. But by then the US website for the game was broken and none of the images would load.

In Japan they actually did have a PSO: Episode 3: Trading Card Game. I have a few of those cards, as there were some included as bonuses with the Episode 3 memory card and the Episode 3 soundtrack.

While going through some old backups the other day, I found a bunch of the PSO virtual cards that I had found somewhere. Maybe I'll see about adding them to the site. Those would be pretty cool images of the day.

I also didn't see the point in collecting those, so I passed up on them.

I did not know they even made trading cards - I'll have to look for them!
