Here's some new interesting information. Someone has discovered a debug menu built into Phantasy Star IV.

Apparently this can be accessed using the Pro Action Reply code FFEC9E06 (found here) or a patch code FFEC9F:06 in some emulators (as found here).

There are some options in the debug menu that apparently can't be accessed yet, but I have seen an old save game emulator that could change some of those, so perhaps there is a way to do it.

Ha! I've heard of such bugs while in Piata, but that is just crazy.

I wonder if there is a way Chaz can take on the Profound Darkness at this point? Sure, he stands no chance, but it would be cool to find out.

Someone at Pscave removed one of the walls in Piata and there is a WARP right to Rykros..

The Debug menu does similar.

Yeah, apparently the Piata maps have warps to all kinds of places. I saw one that goes into the Edge. I guess the developers had fun fighting the PD with a level 1 Chaz. :lol:

Not that Chaz would last that long in the first place. But I remember hearing about this a while ago myself. You could walk through the walls somewhere in Piata and end up on Rykros and Dezoris.
I wonder if you could fly out of there somehow and back to Motavia. Chaz gets back to the academy and explain to Alys how he ended up on a bunch of other planets. I'm sure that would be the last time he goes off wandering on his own anyways. :-P

Technically he'd die the second he entered The Edge because he wouldn't have the protection provided by the rings. >.>

Yeah, even if you equipped him with the Shadowblade at lvl 1 (255 for all stats, except Mental at 254) he still wouldn't last about 3 steps before dropping down dead. *evil laugh*

Ok, that was mean. But you guys know how I feel about the guy. ><

Man, Snorb, I wish I could've recruited you for my game... That dialogue (and all the others) are LOL funny. :D
