Depp in Pirates 4 movie

It looks like a 4th installment of the "Pirates Of The Carribean" movies is on the way, starring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow:

That's good to hear. I expected he would return for a fourth movie, but it's nice to know for sure. I think most of the other cast members probably won't be back. Some of the pirate crew might, but the other main stars will probably sit this one out in favor of a story focusing more on Cap'n Jack.

Keith Richards (of the rock group "the Rolling Stones") has signed on to be in the 4th Pirates movie.

He was awesome in the other pirates movie.

Interesting. I didn't even know it was him when he appeared in the third movie. He looked so different under that pirate outfit. I wonder how much of a role he will have in the new one. Who knows, he could break out into the movie business from this.

Ohh, I didn't realize this one was so close to release. I completely lost track of it. I hope it is as good as the first film in the series. The third was a little bit of a let down, so this one might have to do really well to make those future installments happen.

Is anyone looking forward to seeing this newest installment of the "Pirates" movies?

With all the super hero movies making the news, I had completely forgotten about this one again. It hasn't made it to my local theater yet, but might in a few weeks. I'll try to see it then, I think.

Finally got to see this movie over this past weekend. It was good. Most of the secondary characters were not as engaging as those in the previous parts of the series. I was left with the impression that the focus was narrowed to highlight the few main characters more. In a way that's good, because this is a self contained story with little to continue into a next film. In a way it's bad, because I didn't really care about most of the characters or their fates.

Keith Richards' role was disappointing, too. He was on screen maybe five minutes. Pirates 3 was a better film for him.
