Deep Fried foods are becoming popular again, especially at State Fairs and County Fairs which are also very popular at this time of year. I've never heard of deep fried beer, though.

EW...you know, I like beer, but deep-fried? The thought makes me cringe!

True story: Our county fair is going on right now and the weirdo fried-foods (oreos, twinkies, etc. *gag*) stand exploded Sunday afternoon and two people were severely injured. They had to be airlifted to the hospital. So my whole take on this ridiculousness in deep frying everything for fun is, it's not only bad for your insides, it's potentially explosive, too. Fried beer? No thanks.
We also live on the same road, about 1/4 mile from the fairgrounds. I can't wait for it to be over. /crankypants

Some of this stuff can be dangerous if handled improperly. It's one of those "don't try this at home" scenarios where people actually do try it at home. Hopefully explosions like that will be few in number in the future.
Ooo, I'd hate that. The traffic and noise must be terrible right now.
