Very nice work indeed, Aero. Techno so suits PS2! :D Can't wait to hear the full remix, AP!

Excellent stuff Aero. I should have come in sooner. I've always kind of liked this track and you've certainly done a good job of trancing it up.

Now hurry up and get it finished! :D

I estimate about 4-5 hours more to put in it. It should be available to all at latest this week end.

I have spotted 9 modifications I want to do as soon as I get home tonight.

After that I need to put a bit of variation in my drum track to break the monotony.

After that, Youtube time.

You guys will have given me the push to finish this. You have no idea what this means to me!

I am really in a bind here. A friend of mine told me my intended drum kit sounded too "video game-ish" and suggested something more modern. I spent the best part of my free time from the last two days trying to tweak that.

Tell me which one you prefer, modern drums or vintage drums. Saying "They are both great, Aero", will not help me and will further delay this remix release by a good two weeks :P

Thank youuuuu.

Listened both many times. Vintage for me.

Three answers so far including yours, two for modern, one for vintage.

According to my ears. vintage has a more Genesis feel, very death place-ish. However, modern has a better sound quality, its frequency band is narrower, it impedes a lot less on the other instruments and enhances the bass track.

Pondering.... pondering...

Don't mind me then...I was always a sucker for the whole nostalgia feels like I said. It's true modern one sound cleaner, but that may be why I like vintage more. Plus I feel that it put more beat into the song (pretty much like how the drum in Phantasy Star II japanese version is more present in the music than in the american version. It's just a matter of taste I guess).

The only thing I want to point out though...since when sounding more "video game-ish" is a bad thing in a video game remix??? I still enjoy listening to 8-bits remix of today modern games, and find it quite cool what they can do with that. Some people will call that a "downgrade", I call that "Awesome" :D

I agree with you completely. I'm just curious as to what people think.
