Radio Chip in Driver's License

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Tue Mar 3, '09, 12:44 am

What do you think about this new plan to put a radio chip in your Driver's License? I don't think I like it very much.

It seems unnecessary to me. I don't see any benefit from this over a standard driver's license.

I don't see this as necessary. It seems more invasive than helpful

I with Darkil. I understand some of the points for it, but...just seems...a little bit too much. How much do we want to give up for security here? Remember Franklin...

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

There's a balance in their somewhere, and this may be tilting too much for security for my comfort.

Excellent quote CW, I think that sums it up quite nicely.

I said yes, just to be different, but I think it's kind of bogus. It could be used in a positive light, but you know that just won't happen.
