Dancing With The Stars has a new co-host. The new co-host is former DWTS contestant and winner, Brooke Burke.

I didn't get to see last night's elimination night, but I read that actress Shannon Daughtery and her dancing partner Mark Balias were the ones eliminated from the dancing competition last night and the first to go on this new season of the show.

I also read that Mark had injured his leg or foot somehow, and may have been forced to be out of the competition for several weeks or so. That's a shame as Mark is a very popular dancer on the show.

I don't know if that attributed to their leaving, or if they were just not as good a dancers as everyone else. If needed, I would think they could have offered up a replacement dancer in Mark's place. Oh well.

Anyone see the show last night? If so, how did it go?

Well, it looks like Kate Gosselin and her dancing partner, Tony, were the ones to be eliminated this week.

Too bad about Tony leaving as he's a good dancer.

I couldn't care less about Kate. I have never gotten the whole interest in the "Jon & Kate" story anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if next season they have Jon on the show as a competitor to see if he can do better than Kate did, though.

The "Dancing With The Stars" winner and champion for this season was Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and her dance partner Derek Hough.

Congrats to Nicole and Derek.

If I'm not mistaken, this is Pro Dancer Derek Hough's second time at being champion. He should be tied for that spot with other pro dancers Cheryl Burke and his sister dancer Juliet Hough.

Bumping this topic up as a new season of "Dancing With The Stars" is almost upon us.

Rumors of various celebrities who may be taking part on the program this year are swirling around online, etc. however we won't know for certain exactly who the contestants are until the official announcement which will be told on August 30:

Rumors so far have actor David Hasselhoff ("Knight Rider", "Baywatch", etc.), and Bristol Palin (daughter of Sarah Palin), supposedly being on the show this year, but we'll have to wait till August 30th to find out when the official announcement is made.

Looks like an interesting season on "DWTS" whoever is on.

8. Mike Sorrentino - (actor),

I have watched almost every season of "DWTS" and this one sounds like one of the most interesting line-ups they have every had. It will be fun to see how all these celebrities do.

Anyone have any favorites they hope will win the trophy ball for this season?

I am anxious to see how David Hasselhoff, Michael Bolton, Florence Henderson, and Bristol Palin do. Right now, they are my picks to watch.

Well, the first week's dance off elimination round was held and it looks like David Hasselhoff was the star to go home this week.

Wow, that was fast. Only 1 week on the show ... and gone. I thought surely he would last longer than that.

Bristol Palin's mom Sarah Palin made an appearance on "DWTS" and may, or may not, have received some booing....what do you think, if you saw the show?

Singer Michael Bolton was the celebrity star to get booted off the show last week.

This week the celebrity booted off was Margaret Cho.
