Dairy Queen $5 menu

Dairy Queen, otherwise known as DQ, is trying out at $5 lunch menu at some of it's restaurants:

How do you think this will work?

Dairy Queen has the best ice cream and milkshakes and blizzards and barbecued sandwiches, in my opinion. Oooh, I forgot onion rings too!!! Going to be hard to choose from any menu there.

What is your favorite item at Dairy Queen?

Has anyone ever tried their ice cream cakes?? I haven't tried those yet but it sounds delicious.

Brownie Batter Blizzard (Oh why must this only be available for a limited time each year!?)
Midnight Truffle Blizzard
Triple Chocolate Blizzard
Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae
Chocolate Milk Shake

The rest of the menu is virtually foriegn to me. Last time I ate a non-frozen product at DQ was a decade or more ago when the non-dairy portion of the menu was still a joint venture with Stuckies Restaraunt, and only offered in select DQ locations. Whatever heppened with that anyways? Did DQ buy out Stuckies or did the two merge together under the DQ branding?

I feel rather fortunate that in my city, we have something known as DQ Sweet Deal. Basically it's a value menu that is priced something like this...

2 - $4
3 - $5
4 - $6

I usually get two cheeseburgers, a medium fry, medium onion rings, then I pay extra for a small or medium drink. Though one time, I was really hungry so I spent 10$ getting 3 burger, fry, onion rings, and a med drink. It was well worth every penny.

I don't even think we have a DQ in the Saginaw area anymore. Use to but it got shut down.

Butterfinger Blizzard is usually the only thing I ever get from there.

The one where I live is currently doing promotional deals via text messages, along with a large coupon book that I got in the mail, so I'm sampling a few things.

I'm drinking a Strawberry-Orange Julius right now.

I love DQ! Have not stopped by to see if the local area is running the menu but i will stop by soon!

Forget a five dollar menu! I just want them to bring back the oh-so-delicious Browny Batter Blizzard!
