Has everyone heard about the horrible school shootings today in Virginia? So many lives lost. This is really shocking and sad. :(

Yes, that was terrible. They say it's the worst shooting in US history. I really feel bad for all the families.

I've heard about it in news on radio. That was terrible. 32 persons killed and more than 20 seriously injured. I don't understand why things like that happen?!

It's so sad. I hope all the wounded people recover and no one else dies as part of this. It's such a waste of life.

Neithird, I believe I heard a newsman say while waiting for a press conference from the doctors who were or had treated the injured that everyone else was expected to pull through, although some were more badly wounded than others. Anyway, that fact alone is very good news.

Another interesting news topic I heard today. The Queen is coming to the United States this next week, I believe it is. I believe she is coming in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Jamestown settlement, or something along those lines. I think this is back in the days of The Pilgrims, etc.

Also, I saw it mentioned that while she is here, The Queen may meet with some of the victims of the VA. Tech shooting incident.

Sounds like an interesting visit to say the least. Any comments or opinions on this visit by the Queen?

Which queen? There are lots. ;) Is it the one from England?

I'm surprised she would want to celebrate the settlement of Jamestown... I mean, since we rebelled against England's rule and all.

Yes, Neithird, it is the Queen of England - Queen Elizabeth II that is coming to the U.S. for a visit in May. Sorry, my post was not a little bit clearer regarding which Queen it was. :)

Here's a link to read more on the visit if anyone is interested:

Sad news on this Sunday. The news is reporting the death of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team's pitcher, Josh Hancock. From what I have heard on the news, he died last night (Saturday) in an automobile crash. I know the team must be very shaken and sad as well as his family. Condolences and prayers go out to all his family members, teammates, and friends. :(

By the way, have you heard what's happening in Estonia? As for me, it's reborn of * state. And it's terrible. I can't belive that they forgot lessons of World War II...
