Soon it will be the annual Labor Day holiday here in the USA. This year, I think it falls around September 7, or something like that. Check your calendar to be sure of the day. It's only about a week away, though.

Anyone planning any big family get togethers or cookouts or celebrations of any kind?

I think many places may have Labor Day parades and such like that. How about the town where you live?

It is also the time for the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Muscular Dystrophy Telethon. I usually try and watch that if I can, or atleast part of it, since it is usually on for about two days. Anyone else watch this telethon each year?

What do you think you will be doing this Labor Day?

I have no special plans. I might check the telethon sometime just to see what kind of tribute they have for Ed MacMahon.

Bumping this topic up for the year 2010 as this weekend is Labor Day in the US, with the official day being celebrated on Monday for this year.

Anyone have any special Labor Day plans, or are you just going to rest up and relax?

Bumping this up for 2011 as Labor Day is Monday, Sept. 6 this year. The Labor Day weekend officially begins today on Friday though. It's a 3 day weekend for many people here in the USA.

Labor Day and the annual Labor Day weekend has arrived in the USA. Many people and families will be celebrating this weekend and many work places will be closed on Monday for the holiday.

Happy and fun labor day for those living in the USA ! Here in France the date is the 1st of may

And we even have a Thelethon but that's on the first days of december.
