Well...I don't have class. But I'm heading to campus anyway because I need to do my statistics homework, and the software that I need, SPSS, doesn't work in Snow Leopard. And I couldn't get the old Mac OS X, Leopard, to virtualize to run it, so...yeah. :( Hopefully the Computer Center will have the new version of SPSS soon that is Snow Leopard compatible. But until then, I have to use the campus computer labs.

Eh, the local schools are out (so I guess it must be a US federal holiday, so probably no mail today). That's pretty much it in this area, though.

Not much going on here today for Columbus Day as we are having heavy, heavy rains. I think there was to be a parade some time or other, but it ain't happening today, lol.

Schools are out here too. Some businesses are closed but most of them stay open these days to catch all the business they can, while they can.

I've got a doctor's appointment later today, so those offices are open as well.

I guess this would be a good time to thank ole Chris Columbus for discovering the new world (U.S.A.), though, because without him I probably wouldn't be here, lol.

Have a good Columbus day everyone!

I had to work today. We rearranged the office substantially.

I think a lot places used it for an "in-service" day of sorts, where the business is closed to the public but employees still have to come in and work. I know a few local places did that.

This Monday, October 8th, is Columbus Day in the USA! Many businessess and schools, etc., will be closed in honor of the holiday. Schools here are using this opportunity to take advantage of a two-day (Friday/Monday) Fall break for students.

So, happy Columbus Day everyone! Hope your holiday is a good and restful one! :)
