Christmas Cards

Are you sending out any Christmas cards this year? If so, when do you plan to send them and what do they look like?

I'm planning to send a few out, but so far I haven't actually picked the cards out yet. I guess I need to do that in the next couple of days if I don't want them to be late this year!

I'm sending out a few cards to family and friends. Some cards have fun themes (snowmen, trees, cats with Santa Hats, Christmas scenes, etc.) and some are religious types (with the baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, the nativity, etc.)

I'd like to send out more cards every year but it is becoming very expensive to do so with the price of postage stamps, not to mention how expensive some of the cards can be. Still, it is fun to do. :santa:

I don't think we ever send out cards, ours come with the presents, to match them more, it makes it all the much easier.

I might send a few cards to close family, but that's all.

Speaking of Christmas Cards, I always like to see the postmarks on the Christmas Cards each year and see where they are from, how far they have come and if they were postmarked somewhere with a Christmassy name.

There are many real places with Christmas related names such as "Santaville" (just for an example) which are so cute that lots of people have their cards sent there first for a special Christmas postmark from that town and then sent to whomever the card was intended for. Has anyone here ever done that, or received a card postmarked from a special named place?

Just wondering what you do with all the Christmas Cards you have received from friends, family, etc.? Do you display them out so everyone can see them or just keep them close by? We always put ours on the inside door so we can see them during the Christmas season and then we take them down and put them up to keep.

We put them on our front door this year, strange, i've never seen christmas cards before at our house, i hope we sent cards too! They're laid out in the shape of a christmas tree.

We also put them up on the door or wall each year. Sometimes we keep them, sometimes we don't.
