Treehouses

Anyone here ever have a treehouse, or wanted to live in one?

Here are some fantastic looking treehouses to look at and dream upon:

I remember watching old black and white movies of Tarzan and many times Tarzan and Jane were living in a tree house. It looked like fun.

Of course, in these modern times treehouses would have modern furnishings and plumming to (hopefully) that would enhance their charm even more.

Which of these treehouses in the link does everyone like best?

I like the sphere the best. It reminds me of the art in a children's book I had (and still have, somewhere) titled "Need a House? Call Ms. Mouse."

I don't think I would be comfortable living in a home in a tree. I've seen too many trees fall over in the past couple of years. I wouldn't feel safe in a home with such a potentially unstable foundation, even if it would be really cool in other ways.

I've always wanted a treehouse, but although Mom approved, Dad refused
