Cheese Fondue Day!

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Fri Apr 11, '08, 7:04 pm

Today, April 11, is also " Cheese Fondue Day"!

For those of you that like or enjoy eating cheese and fondue stuff, have a great, and very appetizing, day!

I never really cared for fondue stuff that much, though, and although I love cheese, I rarely eat it as it upsets my stomach a lot.

Where would we be without cheese though - cheese curls, cheese balls, cheese sandwiches, cheese cubes, toasted cheese sandwiches, cheetos, and on and on! OMG, I'm hungry now, lol!

What is fondue? I've heard of it before, but never seen it or an explanation of just what it is.

All I know is that it is some kind of cheese mixture, kept warm by having it sitting over a flame of some type, and then you dip things in it to eat. There are also chocolate fondues too where you can dip things in chocolate. This kind of stuff was very popular years ago.

I found a little about it on wikipedia:

Fondue isn't actually as good as it sounds. We've had a few fondue parties over here. You start with some random thing where you actually watch as your raw meat is cooked, then you dip it in some warm sauces and eat it, never like it much. Cheese fondue doesn't always taste so brilliant, bread and cheese isn't bad but warm cheese doesn't strike me as a good food. Chocolate fondue wasn't bad, but you have to make it perfect or else everything is too dense.
Everything has a pattern. Something set. Even random things. They aren't random at all, its complex mathematics. The trick is to find the pattern. Then you can exploit it.

People think things have a certain end. Taxes. Work. Due dates don't really exist. Trust me. When you put a band of world scholars in the same room, and set them on talking about anything, the most interesting topics come up. The existence of negative time. The probability of "random occurrence". The government's involvement in the media. And falsified due dates. They aren't real, trust me....
