Some of you may have heard me say I was trying my hand at more CG colouring and such. After about a week or so I've finally managed to pull it off and get it finished up.

Some of you will have already seen the original version of this a few months ago and I think you'll notice the difference. :p I'm planning to make CG colouring a habit fro now on and maybe apply it to my newer work as well. MrKite will be pleased to know I plan to CG colour his Amy request next, so sometime within the next couple of weeks hopefully depending on how my other drawings go. :D

Wow, you have natural talent for this CG coloring bit, Xan. You're second try looks excellent. The head is a bit smallish, but just a skootch. It's a good work. Your head:shoulder proportions are lot better here than in some of your female drawings. :)

That's really, REALLY good CG coloring for such an early attempt. You're getting great in so little time.

Thanks Solar. :) It looks a lot better now I've finished it. I used the original drawing I'd done as reference for shading and such, but I changed so much I might as well have not bothered.

What I have learned from this is: I need a new mouse. Drawing in the shading and such on the sword took ages because it kept wobbling.
And for anyone else considering this in future, make your backgrounds grey while working. A white background can strain your eyes after a while, I find, and it makes it hard to judge colour properly because of the contrast.

Oh and for those who are curious, I'm using Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. Though I used my copy of PSP Photo Pro X3 to put the background in because it has a ton of gradients to use and I have no idea how to put a background in while using layers in Photoshop.

That picture must be from right after Zio killed Alys. Chaz looks angry.

...I like it.

I'm wondering if this version will get the 80+ views the original version got on on DeviantArt. I'm not sure how I managed to pull that small feat off. Normally I'm lucky if I get 5 views. :D
