That's sad. It can't be good for the cat's health.

Luckily, my cat isn't as fat as he is ! But yes, not very good for his health, I don't think he'll be able to live very long (and is it better like that ? )

Sad news.

The cat in the above story that weighed 39 pounds has passed away. May kitty rest in peace.

RIP poor cat but maybe a "good thing" if this cat was suffering ?

I would hate to think of the cat suffering too. With all that weight it must have put quite a strain on kitty.

I still find it hard to believe the cat got that big. I mean, I leave kitty food out for my cats and they eat basically whenever they get hungry during the day or night and they are no where near as fat as this cat got. It must have took years of overeating with basically no exercise at all for the cat to get in this shape. I just wish it could have been found and dealt with before it was too late for the kitty. Although, the cat really looked like it had been taken good care of otherwise.

My cat is very odd : if I let him a lot of food, he'll eat all ! So I can't do that and I give him food wheen I eat too (3 times per day). Yes It's very strange in this case (but that cat is only the first one I've ever had...)
