Geese..why do they fly in a V ?

Postby Silver_Surfer1 » Sat Sep 4, '10, 11:20 pm

Ever wonder why Geese fly in a " V " shaped pattern? It's an interesting thought. One article has this to say about why they do it:

I don't know why they do it, but they look awesome when they do it!

Now that the weather will begin changing, we should be seeing a lot of Geese flying in the weeks ahead, etc., and searching for warmer weather, etc.

Huh, that's an interesting tidbit about the wind resistance. I knew the advantages of the formation in keeping organized - that's why fighter pilots do it - but this is new to me. Nice to know. :)
