Casey Kasem has passed away at the age of 82. He was perhaps best known for his "American Top 40" radio program where he counted down the top songs of the week, etc. Although his face was not seen on radio, his voice is probably more well known. He also voiced the cartoon character of Shaggy on the "Scooby Doo" cartoons, etc. Condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Was talking to someone else about Mr. Kasem's death and also learned from them that he also did the voice of Robin in some Batman cartoons and he also did some voice work in Transformers. More reasons to honor his life and that he will be missed.

Yeah, Kasem did a lot of voice acting in lots of cartoons over the years. I get the feeling, at least later on in his career, he mostly did it for fun as he probably got plenty of money for his radio show. He will be missed.
I'm sad to hear of his passing. I got accustomed to hearing his voice on both TV and radio when I was growing up. I'm going to miss it. Kasem was the first voice actor I recognized for the craft.
