Astro Boy

Anyone looking forward to seeing this new "Astro Boy" movie coming out later this month?

I barely remember watching the old black and white Astro Boy cartoons of years ago. Anyone remember them?

What do you think of the Astro Boy character overall?

I never got into the character. I don't know why really, it just always rubbed me the wrong way and I was never interested in learning much about it. I'll pass on this movie.

Although, I will say that a lot of stuff I've seen in the commercials reminds me of what I would have expected from a CGI movie about Mega Man.

I'm not a huge fan of Astro Boy myself. I have seen the 2004 new anime series of Astro Boy but I don't think it was that great. I might see the movie.

Ashamed to admit that I've, so far, never seen any Astro Boy cartoons/anime. Though I did recently purchase the DVD boxset of the more recent series and hope to watch it soon. The movie trailer does look interesting though... the machine guns in his butt part was incredibly awkward.
