The price of a dozen and a half of eggs has went up to nearly $6.00 or so here in our area and a 2 dozen pack of eggs is around $10.00 or so.
Eggs are not just a staple breakfast item, but they are also used in baking other items such as cakes, breads, etc., so that makes their demand even higher.
Also, don't forget that Easter is coming up soon and there are Easter Eggs demanding to be colored, etc., although a lot of traditional Easter Egg Hunts may be postponed this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
