As far as how he looks, I'm not going to comment on that. What I am going to comment on is the trailer itself. I got the same vibe from this trailer as I get from Jurassic Park, and that is a very very good thing. This may actually be worth spending ten bucks to see in a theater.

Even though I'm a Godzilla fan, I'm avoiding things as much as I can. Because I don't want to set myself up for potential disappointment. I'm already a bit leery of Godzilla being mo-capped CGI as something about that just does not feel 'right' to me for a Godzilla film. At this point in my life, I've learned things like trailers and demos can be deceptive, and for something I might be anticipating, I avoid them.

WOLF BIRD : It's true that trailers and pre videos are often far from the real movie ! Often, most of the best scenes have been shown already so it can really be disppointing...:(

I am really looking forward to this! My kids are too but it looks a bit dark for them. Ages 6 and 7.
All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.

I'm fairly excited for it, and from the looks of it this remake is in good hands; ie actual Godzilla fans as opposed to popcorn movie writers and directors.

The only movie I'm somewhat excited for, to be honest, aside from the third Hobbit movie.

The new "Godzilla" movie comes out in theaters today (Friday, May 16):

And, those are some fantastic pics of some of the old "Godzilla" movies!! I think I may have seen almost every one of those old movies. I especially love the baby Godzilla...so cute!!

I was in town shopping today and happened to see that the store has classic Godzilla movies out for sale in anticipation of this new movie coming out. They had the original "Godzilla" movie out on DVD with a fantastic picture of Godzilla on the cover. I think we already have that movie but I seriously thought about buying the new one just for the cover pic, lol.

And, I saw another "Godzilla" commercial yesterday for this new movie. This commercial was of Godzilla and a car, think it was a Fiat, or something, but not exactly sure. I really like the way Godzilla is looking these days.

If anyone gets to see the movie, let us know if you would recommend it to others to watch, or not.

Saw Godzilla earlier today. Personally, I found it was great & enjoyable movie. Maybe could've used a little more of the Big-G himself, but I can't complain. Awesome stuff. :)
