Ha! Really nice stuff, I always love the clone lab granny. The unsung hero of Phantasy Star II.

Nei: ;_;
Rudo: He's dead again?
Rolf: Yeah. Good thing we've got enough money to splurge for a six-pack this time. But... this is like the fourth Hugh. How are we going to tell them apart?
Shir: Oooh! I! Have! A plan! XD

(ten minutes and a bunch of clones later)

Fourth Hugh: (wearing a much longer red scarf) This is a terrible idea.
Fifth Hugh: (wearing a piece of maruera leaf on his jacket) You could have at least made a few clones of Nei as well, Rolf.
Sixth Hugh: (wearing what I'm going to charitably describe as the world's ugliest patchwork lab coat) Or some clones of Anna.
Rolf: The clone lab grandma said the cloning machine won't work on Nei for some reason.
Anna: And I'm going to kill the first clone of me I see. Swear to God.
Seventh Hugh: (wearing a straw hat) Well, at least my biological knowledge can be spread across Motavia faster.
Eighth Hugh: (wearing a cravat) Just think of how much faster we can research Motavian and Dezolian life!
Ninth Hugh: (wearing a very long leather jacket over his clothes) And we can collude as a massive think-tank!

Rudo: (walks up) Holy crap, six Hughs!?
Amy: Rudo, wait, it was Rolf's-
Kain: Ya know what Ah see, Rudo!? >=D (raises his rifle)
Rudo: Yeah! (raises his rifle, too)
Both: Target practice! >=D
Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Hughs: (about four seconds before they eat lead) Noooooooooooooooooooooo--

Sniff... No one likes Huey... :faint:

I've got two links now. The first one for this pic's entry in my blog.
http://icecypher.blogspot.com/2015/02/p ... i-and.html

The second one is a special "making of" post in my other blog, where you can see where I got my inspiration for this mini-comic (some of you may already have realized this, if you know your 1980s' super heroes.

And a secret just for you all. See those three panels where Huey finally dies? Check his red turtle neck. The section closest to his face should be his neck, and colored like the rest of his skin. But when I was using the red pen I messed up the third panel. Since leaving the two previous ones correctly colored only made the mistake more obvious, I had to color the neck on those other ones, as well... :melodramatic:

But well, I hope it will not be too evident without looking for it. :yes:

I went through a lot of effort to make that Doctor Who joke ;_;

(Nah, it's okay. Last I remember playing PSII, I had Hugh in my party for one of the dungeons of Dezolis.)

And I thought he was just wearing his scarf weird. =p

Hahaha, awesome! Sounds about right for Hugh.

(And this is why he always stays at home when I play. Always. I don't think I've ever taken him out once.)

Snorb! I need to be born again and do watch Doctor Who (it is kind of overwhelming to start now, when I also have a lot of other series to watch and so little time).

Even so, I guess I SHOULD have realized it with the "long scarf" Huey (I am familiar enough with some Doctor Who things, since some friends are real fans and I also have seen enough ads in comics and so).

A4, you and Zio were two of the top "Huey fans" I had in mind while I was creating the comic. :yes:

I thought you would enjoy seeing him like this. :melodramatic:

Thank you. Credit, of course, also goes to Bret Blevins, the original artist, and Louise Simonson, the writer.
