Bird Drawing - Golden Eagle

Last from Christmas that I forgot to upload, but here it is. A Golden Eagle, so named because of the gold nape, not because the bird is actually gold. It's actually mostly brown. yeah...this one took a while to do, given the level of detail and trying to get the gold part look right. But I'm happy for the results of that effort.

Great drawing!! Magnificent bird!! I am more familiar with the bald eagle and it's nice to see another member of the eagle family of birds. Terrific color in this drawing.

Some of your drawings are so impressive that when I see the miniatures on the drawings on the topic list, they seen to be tridimensional, and sometimes even real pictures. This drawing is one of those that fooled me.

Wow, that is an amazing level of detail. It shows that you put a lot of effort into this one, especially with the coloring. Getting all that gold balanced with the brown must have been tricky.
