Big Events

When PSO was running worldwide, Sega used to periodically have big events intended to draw players in at certain times. Did you ever participate in any of those? If so, which ones and what was it like?

I never did; I had dropped the game by the time Sega really started that.

I always tried whenever possible [whenever work and school allowed]. The biggest ones I did was Valentines & Christmas events [some where obviously bigger than others].

Speaking of which, I know that on Schthack they have the Halloween event right now. I can't seem to get back into PSO though, kinda burnt out on it. :\ Perhaps I'll play it again when the Christmas event happens in December.

PSO is still going? How did I miss out on this? More importantly, how do I get involved again?

Officially, PSO is only still available in Japan. There's the unofficial, fan-run server Schthack that is also running, though. That's what Tsunami was talking about. It works with most versions of PSO and has instructions on how to connect them to the server.

I may have to give that a look, even though I have the dial up modem for the GC so I don't know how that'll work with Cable :D
