The Evercade

Postby MrKite » Mon Feb 17, '20, 1:42 pm

The Evercade is a new handheld game console coming out in April that uses interchangable cartridges. It looks kinda cool so I decided to preroder the starter pack that comes with the Atari Collection Vol. 1. I also preordered the Data East cartridge and the Piko Interactive cartridge for it. I only ordered the latter though because it includes Nightshade. Don’t care for too many of the other games on that cart.

Over a year later, what are your thoughts about The Evercade Mr. Kite? Additionally, have you looked at The Evercade VS which allows you to play from your TV instead of being portable?

I never managed to get one. I cancelled the preorder because of a financial emergency I had. :( I was looking forward to it though.

I'm sorry to hear that Mr. Kite. Assuming you've overcome the emergency now, what are your thoughts on The Evercade VS?

Haven't really researched it. My interest kinda wained. :(

Similar situation for me. Wanted a Evercade ever since it was announced, but my finances have been in the proverbial toilet now fully five long years.

Still lots of great game compilations being released on a monthly basis for the system. Really really want that Commodore 64 Epyx game compilation that was recently announced, but just can't justify spending money on a game that I don't even own the system to play it on.

Couple of people in a Discord server I'm in each own Evercade's and they only ever say nice things about them.
