A horde of Frogs made it necessary to shut down a highway in Greece as people were wrecking their cars trying to avoid hitting the frogs:

I'll bet trying to avoid hitting various animals in the road is a major cause of wrecks, etc. Just think of all the stories we've heard of people trying to avoid hitting deers, turtles, squirrels, cats, dogs, etc., etc., etc. That's when there is only one of the animals too...can you just image a whole horde of them. :yikes:

This is just all wrong. The frogs should have been trying to avoid the cars. That's how Frogger is supposed to work.

I never thought of Frogger when I first read this.

I happened to see another article about this story today and you know, the frogs could have very well been heroes....it seems there was an earthquake shortly after this frog episode and the consensus is that perhaps the frogs knew or could sense that the earthquake was about to happen, so they were trying to escape or evacuate the area. It could have been a warning to humans that something was going to happen. Animals seem to have a special sense about these things, including weather, etc.:
