Pity, you know. I've already gotten rid of both Rika and Chaz in the game and have already written a new storyline for the first few scenes. So much better now without those two...But this is my game after all, so it's no no longer a 'PS4 remake'.

And vilkacis, I really want to thank you for your thorough beta-testing so far. Everything you've pointed out so far has been rectified, right down to the 'floating enemy' sprites and enemy stat adjustments. And for those amazing sprite rips you posted over at pscave. The new demo will feature new animations using those rips. I figured that since you spent so much time ripping them for a fan game that never game to fruition, I might as well make good use of it.

Aaahhhh... what a beautiful phrase.

The phrase I wanted to hear for months now.

Keep that phrase in mind and you will meet success down the road.


And with guys like vilkacis and vontrapp helping you along, I say you have a rock solid team.

Thank you for your reassurance, Aero. It means alot, coming from you. And I wasn't kidding about removing both Chaz and Rika in my game. In my universe, they don't exist. Much like in your PS universe Aero, where you added a few of your own touches to the EoTA universe. I wonder of it would be possible to link the two. Imagine... EoTA and BaNL forming a separate PS universe...

And this will please Atlin immensely. Hahn is now a full-blown cast member of the game, which means the academic will remain with Alys for the duration of the entire game. With Rika scrapped, there's an extra slot for another character, and by the end of the game, you can choose you own party. Only Alys remains locked.

And Hahn gets far more respect in this game than in PS4. He's now a respected Professor that is in charge of the investigation team looking into the BirthValley incident ( no Prof. Holt either ) and Alys is now hired as Hahn's escort, rather than to wipe out a group of weak monsters in the basement. That's all I'm saying for now.

There's only one gripe though... In EoTA, Parma doesn't explode, but in my game it still does...

Oh yes, and that other post... I'm still awaiting more details, though I can't still fathom it as being possible. It's too good to be true... Better send it soon, Aero. I'm getting very impatient now. :D

Not only is this not a problem in EOTA, it's actually made to be like that.

I like the sound of Hahn having a MASSIVELY expanded role. As for Rika and Chaz...well, if they were just there in the original version of BaNL, no reason to keep them if you don't want to. So, I'm all for it. It's your game! :D

And don't be surprised by this question...

How about Demi's role? :silly:

Given that I am re-writing the entire storyline to possibly tie in with EoTA, yes, Demi's role is actually more important than Hahn's in this case, apart from Wren, who still reigns supreme as control commander over all of Algo's systems. And if I really am going to tailor the game to fit in with EoTA, then that means the original cast goes from 10 to only... 5, namely Alys, Rune ( maybe ), Hahn, Demi and Wren... I don't think the other characters like Gryz, Kyra and Raja would even feature in the heavily modified game.

But I'll have to discuss this through many discussions with Aero.
