Auld Lang Syne

Every year at the stroke of New Year's it is often traditional in the US and other places to sing this song "Auld Lang Syne". Did you know that "Auld Lang Syne" was a poem written in 1788, and then later it was set to music? Here is some other interesting information about this New Year's Eve song and tradition:

I can't recall ever hearing any part of the song other than "Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind." I had no idea that it was a poem, that's interesting.
