Atari bankruptcy

The United States Atari group has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy:

According to the article a similar decision has been made regarding the European division also, if I read this correctly.

Sad news for Atari. Always liked them and still have all our Atari systems!! Hopefully this will help them get back on their feet.

It's always sad to hear that such a legendary gaming brand has such trouble. It seems that since the big video game crash, Atari has never been able to regain a solid footing. Now it's just a brand that gets passed from company to another, slapped on re-releases and remakes of the classic Atari 2600 games, then sold again.
