Ascension Day is the 40th day from Easter Sunday and celebrates Christ ascension to Heaven. In 2023 in the USA it is on today, Thursday, May 18.

Pillar article is a good one. JD Flynn runs a good ship as far as Catholic News.
For us here in the Saginaw Diocese we have Ascension on Sunday. I think it's kind of strange. If their was more Priests and more people attending Mass I could see it go back at some point.
