Question about the original Nintendo DS from 2004

Postby MrKite » Wed Dec 22, '10, 5:21 am

I just realized that I don't know where the AC charger for my GBA SP is, and there's a plug I have that I THINK is the one for my original Nintendo DS, but I want to know, can you use the original DS' charger for a GBA SP charger? Does anyone know?

Yes you can- I used my GBA SP's charger when I lost my DS charger way back when. Same size, shape, and voltage.

You're positive? Sorry, I'm just very neurotic about this.

Just to back Snorb up on this one, I have personally used a original DS charger as a replacement for a GBA SP charger. They are the same model of charger. Later model DS chargers, like a DS Lite charger, will not fit the SP.

I'll be another to confirm it, back before I upgraded to a DS Lite and had an original DS, I would charge my DS and GBA SP on the same charger all the time.

Yep, pretty much. I had a second hand SP for a while that came to me without a charger. By that time the DS Lite was out, so there were no SP chargers to be found anywhere. I wound up buying a DS charger off eBay for it.
