April Fool's Day (April 1)

Well, hard to believe that it is already April 1 and " April Fool's Day ". Has anyone fallen for any April Fool's jokes yet or pulled any good ones on anyone?

I think I have only fell for one so far today, but then the day is only half over so far.

Well my old supervisor got me twice today at work. First she came by with another supervisor and stood behind me while I was on the phone. She told me to put myself unavailable to answer calls and then waited until I was done with the call I was on. Well of course I was sweating bullets by this point and when I was done with the call she asked if I was scared which I replied yes. Then started to laugh and said April Fools.

She also sent out an email to everyone on her team[which is still included me for this] and said that we had to do Mandatory overtime! Well of course I was quite upset and upon further reading the email she put in there to scroll down and look at the new schedule for the OT. Of course at the bottom of the email it said April Fools in big bold letters.

Sorry, but the Japanese win this year's April Fools.

A very cruel joke was played on Dragon Quest fans in Japan.

According to Akiba Blog, over two-thousand people lined up at midnight today for DQIX. Midnight. Today. Today is April 1, and Dragon Quest IX is slated for release this July.

Very cruel considering the number of times Dragon Quest IX has been delayed — and how many Japanese gamers are impatiently waiting for it.

Still, don't be surprised if frazzled individuals are running around Akihabara, frantically looking for DQIX. If you happen to see any, be sure to let them know the game is sold out and new shipments are expected shortly.

This is just one of many April Fools jokes circulating on the Japanese internet.

My area isn't very festive. None of my co-workers seem to have pulled April Fool's jokes on each other. But that Dragon Quest joke is just too cruel. XD

Bumping this thread up for the year 2010 as tomorrow (Thursday) is April Fool's Day.

I already got a prank that I'm going to set up. I'm going to be setting all the clocks ahead by one hour when everyone is sleeping. So give or take I'll have to stay up till about 3-4am when everyone is fast asleep so I can sneak and their rooms and make the adjustments. And I have the day off too so I can sleep all day. =P

And according to the Compendium, it's Shir's birthday tomorrow. ^_^

If the people you're pranking have work in the morning I wouldn't attempt it cause then they'd get really really mad at you. Anyways, I don't really got anything planned to prank anyone. Can't prank my wife cause she'd kill me @_@.. I know... I'm gonna tape down the sprayer on my sisters sink and when she turns it on it'll shoot her..

I was thinking about that today as well Rick. It is Shir's b'day today! As well as Fred and George from the Harry Potter series. Should it come as a surprise? All HP character's b'days are listed at author J.K Rowling's official site.
