Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans! Unable to spend the day doing much else thanks to my tooth-related problems, I spent it on this piece. Done all in one day, mostly charcoal pencil, with a small amount of colored pencil. I'm pretty pleased with it, especially for only one day of work.

Thanks for the 4th of July gift! :usa:

Ya know, the Eagle is just about one of the most beautiful birds ever and especially capturing one in mid-flight is just majestic!!!! :)

Wow, that is really awesome. I would have never guessed you were able to do that in one day. It's very impressive, even more so for the short time from start to completion. The majesty of the bird really shines through.

Thanks you two! :) Not only did I do it in one day, I also did it on vicodin. At least for me, that makes it even better that it turned out so well.

Bumping this beautiful bird drawing up to help celebrate Independence Day. The Bald Eagle is one of the most beautiful birds in the world! It takes real talent to do a beautiful drawing like this in only one day. Thanks again for sharing it with us Wolf Bird!

I am still amazed I was able to do this while I was taking Vicodin. For those who don't know, it is an opioid-based painkiller. Highly effective at pain relief as it numbs your nerves, but also has a lot of side effects because it's opioid. And of course, highly addictive is misused. Thanks for bumping, Silver, and happy Fourth!
